Nearly a year back, Dev Kharoud had announced the sequel to his 2019 release, ‘Blackia’ titled, ‘Blackia 2’.
This one is written by Inderpal Singh to be helmed by the ace film director, Navaniat Singh. The film was earlier supposed to release on May 05 but now finally the film will hit the theatres by the end of August i.e. August 25, 2023. Dev made the official announcement on his social media handle as he quoted the post.
The motion poster shared earlier and this one show fire and destruction along with alcohol and money being burnt. It looks like a story based on the journey of a man from rags to riches. We become even more confident about the speculation for the tagline it has along with it which is “ਗਰੀਬ ਜੰਮਣਾਂ ਮਨਜੂਰ ਸੀ ਪਰ ਮਰਨਾ ਨਹੀਂ। (It is acceptable to be born poor but not die poor)”. The makers have even claimed this one to be inspired from true events.
Well, to tell you a little about the team, Dev Kharoud is recognised for his roles in films like, ‘Rupinder Gandhi The Gangster..?’, ‘Dakuan Da Munda’, ‘Kaka Ji’, ‘Blackia’ and several others while Navaniat has gained appreciation for films like, ‘Tera Mera Ki Rishta’, ‘Shareek’, ‘Yamla Pagal Deewana’ and much more.
